It’s located around 1.5 miles to the south of the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center, west of Sunset Point. Sunset Campground – is only open during the summer, it closes for the winter.The North campground does not have any water, sewer or electrical hook-ups, but there is a dump station which is open during the summer months only at a charge of $5 per dump! The North campground is closer to the general store than Sunset, the alternative campground at Bryce Canyon National Park.

The campground can get pretty full up during the summer so if you haven’t made a reservation then it pays to get there early. A small number of RV reservations are available at certain times of the year, the rest of the time it’s first come, first served. Loops A and B are for RV campers, whereas loops C and D are specifically for tent campers. Sites are limited to a maximum of 10 people, (no more than 6 adults in each group), 3 tents and 2 vehicles per site. There are 99 sites available here organized in 4 loops, A, B, C & D, and the price is $15 per night, per site.

    People who are less than 15 years of age, however, have free entry. Individual person – $12 – anyone entering Bryce Canyon National Park on foot, by bicycle, motorcycle etc.

When we arrived at noon, we had a pretty good selection of sites. It seems that the campground was usually full by 1 or 2 in the afternoon during September. Put the perforated slip on your post to hold your site, then go back to the host station and deposit the envelop and payment in the box. Pick up the envelop from the campground host station just as you enter. Sites are first-come, first served, and require cash or a check to pay (there are ATMs in the park, I think). We stayed here on two occasions in September 2018.
